Holy cow (expression) “Oh My God”
"Holy cow!" (and similar) is an exclamation of surprise used mostly in the United States, Canada, Australia, and England. It is a minced oath or euphemism for "Holy Christ!" Holy Cow! dates to at least 1905. The earliest known appearance of the phrase was in a tongue-in-cheek letter to the editor: "A lover of the cow writes to this column to protest against a certain variety of Hindu oath having to do with the vain use of the name of the milk producer.
Sanctity of the cow, in Hinduism, the belief that the cow is representative of divine and natural beneficence and should, therefore, be protected and venerated. The cow has also been associated with various deities, notably Shiva (whose steed is Nandi, a bull), Indra (closely associated with Kamadhenu, the wish-granting cow), Krishna (a cowherd in his youth), and goddesses in general (because of the material attributes of many of them).
The origin of the veneration of the cow can be traced to the Vedic period (2nd millennium–7th century BCE).

I have Born into Culturally rooted family into the narrow lanes of Ahmedabad (INDIA) the city which is more than 600 years old my family history is more then 400 years into that city. I was shadowing my grandfather who was a traditional miniature pichvai painter (traditional art form of India)
Since my childhood I was always exposed to all the traditional art forms of India eg: Miniature painting, Natural dyes & Stamping, Traditional Textile Weaving methods. I inherited into a Vaishnav sampradaya where all the traditional art forms are exposed to all the followers of Lord Krishna (Shreenathji) My heritage had helped me in navigating my path into my art career.
To understand the Indian art and techniques at much deeper level I did my graduation into Fine Arts (Applied Arts and Art History). I migrated to Canada in 2014 and then I decided to learn more about art and museum practices and did Culture & Museum Management from centennial college, and today I am offering my workshops on traditional art practices at my studio (Holy Cow Studio), Peel Public schools, wellness centres, Museums & Art centres.
